Participated as research member in many E.U research projects such as: “Determination of Irrigation Needs of Greece-EURO-APAS RENA”, “Mediterranean Desertification Following Land Use Changes-MEDALUS III”, “Effect of Subsoil Compaction in the Plant Growth and in the Environment”, “Water Saving in Mediterranean Agriculture-WASAMED”, and “Deficit Irrigation for Mediterranean Agricultural Systems-DIMAS”.

Research Coordinator of the research project titled “Investigation of Water-Aeration Optimum Balance of Substrates used in Horticulture” financed by the Agricultural University of Athens.

Research interests: Physical-Hydraulic Properties of Soils and Substrates, Vadose Zone Hydrology, Irrigation Management, Effect of Soil Water Pressure on Crop Growth and Yield.

Author or co-author of many studies in peer reviewed journals and conferences.

Member of the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece, the Hellenic Soil Science Society and the Hellenic Association of University Women.
