His research focuses on forest ecology and forest management. He is actively involved in teaching forestry-related courses at the Biotechnical Faculty. In addition to his work at the Biotechnical Faculty, he has also been engaged as a lecturer for the course Biogeography at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić and for the course Wood Science at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Pljevlja.

He is a member of the Board for Agriculture and Forestry of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Montenegro, and Pro Silva Montenegro. He is Editor-in-Chief of the journal Agriculture and Forestry, Co-Editor of the Romanian journal Notulae Scientia Biologicae, and is a member of the editorial board of the international scientific journal Agrofor (Bosnia and Herzegovina). He has also reviewed papers for several leading international journals.

He has participated as a national coordinator for Montenegro or as a team member in numerous international projects and has been a member of scientific and organizing committees of international conferences.

He has published and presented more than 90 papers at international conferences, in scientific journals, and in monographs, including more than 30 papers in leading international journals.Additionally, he has contributed to the development of numerous studies, as well as strategic, project, and planning documents.
