Full Professor at University of Ljubljana, Biotechnical Faculty, Department of Animal Science (present head of this department). Since 1993, various courses at the graduate and postgraduate level in the field of agricultural economics, agricultural policy and EU integration process at the University of Ljubljana (Biotechnical faculty, Economical Faculty and Faculty for social sciences), at University of Maribor (Faculty for agriculture) and since 2003 also lecturer at Universitaet fuer Bodenkultur, Vienna. The key areas of research work are agricultural policy and EU integration analysis. Since 1992, co-ordinator or participant in national and EU research projects on various topics (price analysis, European integration, agricultural sector modelling, food industry, rural labour diversification). National coordinator of 2. 5th EU Framework research project. 1998-2002: member of core national negotiation team for EU-accession of Slovenia (negotiator for the Government, responsible for agriculture and fishery). Since 2002 various expert work for Macedonian, Montenegro, Serbian and Croatian government as support for EU integration process.
